- **Event Description**: Good Timing Ji — A Stand-Up Comedy Special

In his fifth stand-up comedy special, Good Timing Ji, comedian and actor Karthik Kumar returns with his signature style of sharp, observational storytelling that has made him one of the most distinctive voices in stand-up comedy.

Drawing from 25 years of navigating the unpredictable world of entertainment and the arts, Good Timing Ji is a hilarious and heartfelt journey through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. With wit, warmth, and a lifetime of hard-earned perspective, Karthik tackles one of life’s greatest mysteries — timing. Because sometimes you have it, sometimes you don’t, and most of the time, life doesn’t care either way.

With his trademark blend of self-deprecating humour and razor-sharp insight, Karthik takes audiences on a ride through the beautiful chaos of chasing your passion, bumping into obstacles at every turn, and somehow finding the funny in all of it. Good Timing Ji reminds us that luck isn’t just something that happens to you — it’s something you have to be ready for. And getting ready? Well, that’s the real punchline.

Positive, uplifting, and laugh-out-loud funny, this special is a celebration of resilience, reinvention, and the art of never taking life — or yourself — too seriously and psst — if you know Dr. Vijay from Heartbeat, let’s just say there may be a few little insider moments in here just for you.

Good Timing Ji — Because when your moment finally arrives, you’d better have a good punchline ready.

About the Artist:

One of the most seasoned and experienced voices in Indian stand-up comedy, Karthik Kumar is seventeen years in the making — and still finding new things to say. With four acclaimed specials behind him and worldwide tours across multiple continents, he now returns with his fifth — Good Timing Ji — a milestone that feels both hard-won and inevitable.

Performing in a fluid blend of English and Tamil, Karthik speaks to audiences across linguistic worlds, weaving together the two languages with a naturalness that feels less like code-switching and more like thinking out loud. His comedy lives at an unusual intersection — satirical without being cold, philosophical without being heavy, observational without being obvious. He finds the absurdity hiding inside life’s hardest moments and holds it up to the light, not to dismiss the difficulty, but to make it a little more survivable. And just when you think the thought is going somewhere profound, it lands somewhere delightfully silly.

His journey through stand-up has produced some of Indian comedy’s most distinctive specials. His debut Poke Me, followed by Second Decoction, laid the foundation for a voice that was always unapologetically his own. Blood Chutney, available on Amazon Prime, cemented his reputation as a comedian unafraid to go to uncomfortable places with wit and intelligence. And Aansplaining, streaming on YouTube, brought that signature lens to some of life’s most complex and often avoided conversations — delivered with the charm and clarity only Karthik Kumar can pull off.

Good Timing Ji is the fifth chapter of a comedian who has spent seventeen years proving that laughter isn’t an escape from life — it’s one of the most honest ways to look at it.Language: English & Tamil
