February - March exhibition: Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes
Join us at Kudos Gallery on 25th February for the launch of 'Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes' solo exhibition by Clare Nicholson.
Opening: 25th February 2020, 5-8pm.
Exhibition continues: 26th February - 14th March 2020.
Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes remakes iconic historical obstetric models and illustrations using conceptual materials to link body–environment relations with maternal lived experiences. Epigenetics identifies external agencies trigger transmissible adversity, with mothers advised to control aetiological environmental exposures. The speculative models comprising Epigenetic Maternal Landscapes navigates somatic ‘mattering’ from whole-world problems – beyond maternal control.
