Stronger Together - Surrey

Stronger Together - Surrey

** We've rescheduled these sessions as a result of anticipated poor weather. Please see new dates and times below. **

Too many families and communities have been personally and tragically affected by the opioid overdose crisis in Canada. Stronger Together is a series of dialogues and learning sessions for families and allies impacted by substance use.

There will be four community dialogues with: 1. families with loved ones in active addiction, 2. families who have lost loved ones to substance use, 3. Indigenous families, and 4. service providers supporting families. Community knowledge will be documented and used to inform substance use service planning in the Fraser region, as well as research directions.

We will close with two full-day learning sessions for people interested in running: 1. Grief and loss support groups, and 2. Support groups for families whose loved ones are actively using.

Food will be provided.
