About the event

The Art of NOTAN

Notan is a primitive art seen hundreds of years ago, used in folk art, and now graphic design. Notan designs are created using black and white, with hints of gray. We will explore a variety of exercises of cutting and designing elements of this tradition. Bring your favorite mixed media sketchbook and various sizes of black pens. Kids 8+ also welcome!
