The first film in the series is Send Help, a tense, darkly funny survival thriller about power, control, and the stories we tell ourselves to make it through. Starring Rachel McAdams, an actor known for choosing work rooted in authenticity, environmental care, and LGBTQIA+ allyship, the film sets the tone for the kind of storytelling this series is drawn to.
Roped In Cinema is women centered and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and open to anyone drawn to thoughtful, atmospheric films. Each month’s selection shifts with the season and mood, moving between queer stories, women led narratives, thrillers, intimate dramas, and the occasional classic.
