- **Event Description**: The 1st Saturday of each month Build East day is back again on Saturday, June 7, 2025!    With panels already past Castlewood Bridge over Pleasanton-Sunol Road and some leveling/tamping  already done up to Castlewood, the goal for this session is to work on Additional leveling and tamping between Happy Valley Bridge to Castlewood Bridge and beyond.    Crews will be jacking the rail for the tamper, hand tamping and ballasting as needed along with some tie work as well.    Would you come help us reach this next milestone for this project which is to get trains to and OVER Castlewood Bridge? 

Please wear safety boots, hard hat, orange or green reflective safety vest or safety orange NCRy t-shirt, safety glasses, and gloves.   Hearing protection is also highly recommended.   Please bring water, and your lunch as there is no place close to the worksite to get food.   Yes we bring our railborne  Porta-Potty for those who may be curious as to the availability of facilities.  Please meet at Brightside Yard (5550 Niles Canyon Road) at 8 AM as we plan to leave the yard by 8:30 AM.    If you cannot make it to the yard by that time and still want to participate, it is possible to drive out to just before Happy Valley Bridge on Pleasanton-Sunol Rd.  There will be a gate on the railroad side that should be open after 8 or 8:30AM where you can pull in, park and walk down the railroad to the work site.
