By popular demand, we are teaming up with the experts at Brady and Katie Made to bring you a hands-on, comprehensive tallow soapmaking workshop! If you loved our tallow cream class, you will love learning how to turn that same nourishing fat into incredible, everyday household staples.  



This class does not teach how to render the tallow. If you do not know how to render tallow you can either take the Tallow Cream class first and learn that step OR purchase the pre-rendered tallow for sale by Sunnyside Meat Packers to process your own soap at home. 



In this action-packed, single-session workshop, you will learn how to craft two different types of soap using traditional methods:  The Nourishing Shower Bar: A deeply moisturizing bar perfect for gentle skin care.  



The Tallow Dish Soap: A powerful, grease-cutting natural soap for your kitchen.  



What You’ll Learn & Do: The Lye Process Demystified: Learn the science and safety of traditional cold-process soapmaking.  



Dual-Purpose Techniques: Master the closely related processes for creating both body bars and solid dish soaps.  Ingredients You Can Pronounce: Discover how to keep your home clean and healthy using pure, scratch-made ingredients.  



What’s Included to Take Home: Because traditional lye soap requires a 4 to 8-week curing process before it is safe to use, we want to make sure you don't leave empty-handed! 



You will get:  



The Know-How: All the knowledge and recipe guides to confidently safely pour your own batches at home. 

Ready-to-Use Soap: 1 fully cured shower bar and 1 fully cured dish soap brought by Brady and Katie Made, so you can start enjoying the benefits of tallow soap the very same night without waiting for a cure!

There will be product/supplies for sale at the end of class by both Sunnyside Meat Packers and Brady and Katie Made.   



What to Wear: Just like our cream class, the room can get a bit chilly, so bring a light cozy sweater! (Long sleeves are also great for basic soap safety).  Spots are strictly limited to ensure a safe, hands-on environment.
