On Sunday 7 December 2025, exactly a year on from last year’s event, music’s coming home as a new crop of bands and artists will take the stage at The Fire Station in the guise of their heroes to once again raise vital funds for the organisation.

Expect countless local music icons and some familiar faces for an unforgettable show at The Fire Station, as Sunderland Music City looks to double its fundraising target from £50,000 to £100,000 thanks to matched funding from Community Foundation North East.

Music Against Child Poverty 2 will take place as part of a weekend of activities for the North East Roots Homecoming initiative - a regional celebration of our diaspora and culture - with several artists on the Music Against Child Poverty bill returning home to Sunderland specifically to perform on this weekend.

All funds raised through your tickets will once again go to Love, Amelia, to directly support families experiencing poverty and hardship across the North East. And Community Foundation North East is matching the fundraising up to £50,000, with the matched funds equally distributed to a further five community organisations that are helping to build opportunity for young people and families across Sunderland.

The line-up will be announced in the near future, but Sunderland music fans can expect a unique night of incredible performances and the chance to see our best and brightest like you’ve never seen them before. Get your tickets now before this sells out again.
