This year I'm supporting 4 families so need your help more than ever . 3 are needing equipment that I feel should be provided buy unfortunately not therefore they need us to help make life easier for their children . 1st We Have Bailey. here his mam Claire Explains his condition Bailey is 12 years old, he was born with Pallister Killian Syndrome which is a very rare condition which affects his chromosomes. Bailey has had many surgeries throughout his life and has major spinal so surgery planned for next year. Bailey uses a wheelchair full time, he has sight and hearing difficulties, non-verbal and is tube fed. No matter how many battles he has faced, he’s always been a relaxed, laid back and content little boy. He’s an absolute joy and a blessing. I'm hoping to provide a very much needed Therepy Wedged Mat 2 nd Child is Jacob who desperately needs a Special Night Alarm to Alert his parent's if his condition deteriorates while sleeping . Here Charlene explains Jacob has a chromosome 2 deletion, autism, epilepsy, mobility issues and vision problems. He loves buses trains olaf and school..... A night alarm would help so much as I'm up and down all night checking him x Child Number 3 has to remain anonymous for safety reasons Needs a special UPVC Hospital Standed Mattress as She has a problem with her bladder among other things and a Normal mattress is not of any use . We are going to help local young lady Sophie She has hydrocephalus, microcephaly, severe global developmental delay and has had lots of surgery on her hips, legs and feet. Her sister Beth died at 15 with similar medical conditions but was also blind . Mam Anika and Dad Ken were told it wouldn't happen again then along came Sophie. She of course knew the struggles that were ahead but felt they were more than prepared for them . Then along came whirlwind Conney to keep them on their toes . The problem they have now is as soon as its a sunny day Connie obviously wants to be out in it in the garden and Sophie has nowhere to sit and watch her or play so mam has to devide her time trying to keep both of them happy if dad not there. If we could get some seating with a shade it would solve the problem and make life easier for all of them and much more fun for the girls x If there is anyone out there who could build this for me please let me know or if you know a company who could help please send me details x.
