Welcome to the Thunderbird Ski Weekend & Business Forum 2026 hosted by the Colorado and Utah Thunderbird Alumni Chapters.

This three-day retreat combines relaxation, networking, and intellectual enrichment in a picturesque setting. Join us for skiing, fireside chats, and engaging discussions designed to foster connection and inspiration among Thunderbird alumni and guests.

Schedule of Events

Friday, January 23rd

Ski Park City with local Alumni Tbird Kevin Williams as he gives us a Tour of Park City ski resort. We will meet for Breakfast and Lunch!

Resort Check-In: 4:00 PM at the Sundance Resort

Evening Meet & Greet:

Firday Night is the Welcome at the Owl Bar at Sundance $25pp.

6:00 PM Meet at the Owl Bar - they do serve apps and dinner too. Contact Rob or Lance

Those interested we will do our 2nd annaul ski down, night skiing at Sundance. Meet at the firepit!

9:00 PM – Relax in the hot tub - contact Rob

Saturday, January 24th

Tbird Saturday meetups:
*8 -9 AM Yoga Yurt
*9:30 Skiers -Ski Sundance with local Alumni Tbird Blaine Yate as he gives us a Tour of Sundance Ski Resort. Outlaw Express bottom of the lift

*Other Resort Activities inlcude art classes, glass blowing, snowshoeing, hike etc.
*11:30 Skiers - Lunch top of Reds Lift at Bearclaw (advanced skiers only)

Evening Business Forum aka Fireside Chat at Blaine Yate's Cabin $100pp

5 PM Appetizers & Book Signing

6 PM Dinner

6:30 PM Presentation by TBD

7:30 PM Q&A and icecream social

9 PM is the Skiers midnight

Location: Blaine Yates’ cabin (5 minutes from Sundance Resort on Timphaven Rd) the address will be sent to those that have signed up. We are running Shuttles from the Resort parking to Blaine's Cabin. Blaine and Ashley are hosting the dinner!

Ski Day: Family-friendly alpine and Nordic skiing at Sundance - contact Rob, as we may travel to Alta or Snowbird

Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations directly with Sundance Mountain Resort. We’ve secured discounted rates for Thunderbird attendees:

17 Studio Rooms: $429/night (sleeps 2; 500–600 sq. ft., kitchenette, rack rate $689)

9 Sundance Suites: $469/night (sleeps 2–4; 750 sq. ft., kitchenette, rack rate $809)

20 Mountina Suites $529/night (sleeps 2–4; 750-900 sq. ft., full kitchen, and sleeper sofa, rack rate $1,089)

Ticket Information

Our Alumni Event budget comes through the funds we raise. We use this Event Brite site to sell tickets. We also have Sponsors to add to the operating budget.

RSVP through Eventbrite. Tickets are sold à la carte or as bundles. Accurate headcounts are crucial for planning and reservations. The Eventbrite page will also serve as the central hub for updates, meet-ups, and messaging throughout the weekend. Additional information will be available at the resort lobby.
