Pit crew is limited to 2 per driver ONLY. Location Calder Park Raceway Thunderdome 377 Calder Fwy Calder Park VIC 3037 Format: Select your group A is for intermediate and B for beginner. You can change through day as your skill level increases. Beginners sections will be four areas setup to teach you the basics right from the start. Handbrake turns, doughnuts and figure 8’s Intermediate section will be split and have an area to learn different entry styles from handbrake, scando and single flick. Then second area will be line selection, how to pick a line and how to adjust to hit your line. Good variety for this one so come on down This event is NOT open for spectators, strictly drivers and pit crew only. Vehicles cannot carry any passengers with the exception of the instructors CANCELLATIONS : All cancellations must be done before 6PM of the Monday prior to the event. All cancellations will incur a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel after the Monday prior to the event, you will forfeit your entry fee. Licences: You must have a AASA or Cams L2S. You will not be allowed to drive without a license. You must be covered top to toe. Long sleeve t-shirts, long pants and enclosed shoes are compulsory. You must also have a Australian Standards Helmet. All drivers MUST attend the compulsory drivers briefing at 8.30AM SHARP. Timetable 8:00AM - Gates open 8:15AM - Scrutineering opens, driver registration opens 8:30AM - Compulsory Drivers briefing 9:00AM - On track 12:30PM - Lunch 1:30PM - On track 5:00PM - Event finish Some more info: A good chance to perfect your skills such as when and how to clutch kick and how to use your handbrake. The only requirement is that your car is RWD, it can be a dead stock auto if you want. It's about learning how to drive with what you have and figuring out what that next mod should be. The instructors will be going in the car with you to advise what needs to be done and a cage is not required given the low speed of the classes. We suggest you bring another set of tyres if you are planning to drive up. If you are towing up then the one pair may last you all day, but it is advisable to bring an extra pair mounted on wheels if possible.
