We know summer can be a challenge when so many of your favourite activities aren't happening - it could be a sign to try something new!

Come to our one summer catch-up session and have some fun singing with us. At WOV Sunbury Choir, we sing for the fun and joy of it, learn a bit of technique along the way, and finish the evening with a social supper to catch up with the friends we've made.

"But I haven't sung since primary school!"  
That's ok! We welcome every singer - no formal training required. Come and enjoy all of the emotional and physical benefits of group singing - leave the expectations at home.

"I'm nervous. What's going to happen?"
I completely understand. My first (and second and third) time attending, I was nervous too. But I pushed through and found everyone to be warm and welcoming.

What you can expect is to be greeted warmly as you come in the door where you will sign in and be given a name tag. Our greeter will either link you up with a member or stay with you (depends on how many visitors we get) and orient you to the building (where to get a glass of water or cuppa, where to find the toilets), introduce you around to others, and assist you in choosing a seat. 

At 6:30, our Music Director Elly takes over and leads us through a physical and vocal warm-up, some technique building singing rounds, then into our work song, before ending with a rousing sing-along. 

We finish the evening with a social supper provided by members as we all gather around a table and get to know and check in with each other. By 8:30, we are done and dusted, and each on our merry way home.
