Grab your leash, lace up your shoes, and bring your furry best friend to the 1st Annual FurBabies & Friends AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk!
This isn’t your average Turkey Trot—it’s a dog-friendly 3.1-mile community event designed for fitness, fun, and bonding with your pup. Whether you run, jog, or stroll, your goal is simple: complete 3.1 miles together and qualify for the AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot medal.

Date & Time: Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM
Check-In: Arrive 10–15 minutes early
Location: Sierra Verde Park, Glendale, AZ
Distance: 3.1 miles (qualifies for AKC FIT DOG medal)
Cost: $10 participation fee (covers event coordination)
Optional Medal: $20 if you’d like your own AKC Turkey Trot medal 👉 Order here
As an AKC CGC Evaluator, I’ll sign off your completion so you can earn your official AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot certificate and medal if desired.
🐶 Who Can Join
Everyone is welcome both the two-legged and four-legged!
This event is open to all ages and breeds capable of safely walking the 3.1-mile route. Bring water, treats, and your pup’s best leash manners for a fun, relaxed community outing.

At the finish line, strike a pose with our FurBabies & Friends x AKC co-branded banner and Turkey Trot medals for a memorable photo opp!
