- **Event Description**: With 40+ years of roping experience, including two decades in ranch roping, Carol teach with deep knowledge and genuine enthusiasm.  Her hands-on, patient and often unconventional style makes learning effective and enjoyable for ropers of all ages and levels. 

Included in the clinic cost is a ranch rope for you to keep and practice your skills at home. 

Day 1: Intro to Ranch Roping

Day 1 will lay the foundation needed to become a successful safe roper.  

What is covered:
Rope handling and rope safety
Types of ropes and their purpose
4 basic swings.  The underhand, overhand, backhand and houliand
Heel and head shots for each swing
Understand planning and how it affects your roping
Understand setups for shots, which shots and how to use them



Day 2: Ranch Roping (Mounted Dummy Roping)

Day 2 we will introduce our horses to the rope and get them comfortable.  If the horses are comfortable with the rope, we will move to being mounted.

Introduce your horse to the rope
Learn to rope off your horse
Must attend day 1 - Intro to ranch roping

Day 1 & 2 will run from 10:00am - 4:00pm with a break for lunch around 12/1.

Feel free to join the potluck on Saturday evening to discuss what you've learned.
