Cardiff Light Music Orchestra

We are delighted to welcome back the Cardiff Light Music Orchestra, formerly known as the Palm Court Orchestra, under the baton of their conductor Michael Bell MBE, for a fitting finale to GGDPMF 2026.

Sit back and enjoy a traditional Sunday afternoon of tea and cake as the orchestra treats us to a delightful programme of popular classics, much-loved themes from radio and television, and memorable music from the world of musicals.

While the orchestra may have a new name, the spirit of this much-anticipated concert remains unchanged — a relaxed and uplifting afternoon of live music that has become a firm favourite and the perfect way to bring our Music Festival to a close.
