- **Event Description**: Kaneland friends and family! Join us on Thursday, April 23rd any time from 4-8 pm (open house) at Open Range Grill-Pine Room to celebrate our dear Carlos and raise money for his medical bills/needs while he fights Pharyngeal Cancer. 

Mr. Carlos has been with the Kaneland school district since 1995 and the custodian at John Shields Elementary since it opened in 1999! If you’ve been lucky enough to know him, you know he is the heart of Shields and a bright light in our kids day! He’s hilarious, kind and makes every child feel special. He has been such a big part of our community, let’s show him how much he means to us. 

$20 cash at the door per guest (adult and child pricing is the same) for a taco bar, dessert and pop. A cash bar will be open as well. $12 per guest will go to Open Range for food costs and $8 will go directly to Carlos. (Please fill out the attached Google form to RSVP so we can plan for food by April 16th! No prepayment, just rsvp!)

We will have a 60/40 cash raffle, a “Stache-Cash 🥸” bucket and activities for kids! Thank you to Open Range for generously donating the Pine Room space for this event.
