Social Club AGM: Full Information
Open to all members.
The Social Club exists to serve the village, not to make money for itself. Everything we take in goes straight back into improving the Club, supporting events, and helping the Village Hall. When people buy a drink, the benefit ultimately benefits the village.
When we run events, the aim is to give the community something worth showing up for. None of this works without people who care enough to keep it moving.
Our Annual General Meeting takes place on January 9th. At the AGM, we confirm our committee, including our Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary, and invite any individuals who want to rejoin the committee or join the committee for the first time.
We will also be ratifying a new Constitution for the club and setting membership fees for both 2026 and 2027.
Committee members shape our club. You need to be a fully paid member of the Social Club, willing to commit about one hour per month for meetings, and ready to help organise, support, and run events as they appear on the calendar. The role involves making decisions that affect how the Club operates, what events we prioritise, and how we use our funds to support the village. It is not a huge time sink, but it does require showing up and being part of the team. You get a say, you get involved, you help shape what we do next. The Club is the real community hub, built by the village, for the village.
