8 week course Tuesday afternoon 2pm-4pm.

Everyone is welcome on this brand new 8 week course.

Whatever type of writing you want to do: poetry, online blog, playwriting, journaling, short stories or a novel, this course will help you in achieving your writing goal.

This course is suitable as a follow-on from the Introduction to Writing course or as an entrance course for those with a story to tell.

Over the 8 weeks you will learn about the three fundamentals of good writing: believable characters, strong plots and memorable settings.

With the use of videos and class discussions, there will be plenty of writing activities to help you discover your story and get you writing. It will include written feedback from the tutor.

By the end of the course, you will have produced a short story or narrative poem that will prove to you that you can write.

There will be time to answer your questions and give you specific advice on your personal writing projects.

With expert tutor David Richardson.

David has been teaching creative writing classes for over 20 years. During this time, he has worked at the coalface of writing as a copywriter in the motoring industry.

He also volunteered for the Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators organization, regularly meeting authors and agents. This has given him an insider’s understanding of the publishing world.

Please feel free to purchase a hot drink from the machine during your workshop (card only) we also have a water machine and would be grateful if you could bring your own bottle.

Please note there will be no class on the 17th February due to half term.
