Hold onto your feathers… we’re back, and this year it’s going to be bigger than before! Now in our third year, this event is set to make an even bigger splash - so get ready for a day that’s nothing short of duck-tastic!

🏁 The Races 
We’ve got not one, not two, but THREE quacking good races lined up:

🦆 Schools Race - 12pm

Our big ducks will be waddling into action, each proudly sporting their school bibs. Sponsored by teachers and staff, these feathery champions will be swimming their hearts out for their students. The winning school will be top of the pecking order, taking home the coveted Duck Trophy to display for all to admire. Talk about a quackademic achievement!

🦆 Corporate Big Duck Race - 1pm 

Our local businesses and organisations have really fluffed their feathers and stepped up—each sponsoring a duck to help us keep this event afloat. We’re incredibly grateful for their support… they’re truly the bill-ionaires of kindness!

🦆 The Main Event – The Little Duck Dash!

This is the one you’ve all been waiting for… hundreds of little yellow ducks, possibly a thousand this year, will take to the water in a nail-biting race to the chequered flag!

🏆 1st place: £100

🥈 2nd place: £50

🥉 3rd place: £25


And because we’re all about cheering on the under-duck too… there’ll be a special “last but not least” memento for the little trooper who gives it their all but finishes at the tail end!

🕵️‍♀️ Character Duck Hunt – time to unleash your inner duck-tective!

🎁 Ducky Dip & 🎣 Hook-a-Duck – classic favourites that never get old

🐶 Duck-flavoured dog treats (we know… a bit quackers, but the pups love them!)

🎨 Best Duckerated Competition – local playgroups will be bringing their most fabulously feathered creations, and YOU get to vote for the winner of the dazzling Glitter Ball Duck Trophy!

🛍️ And don’t forget to have a little waddle around our stall - there’ll be a selection of ducky gifts to take home, the perfect quack-venir to remember your day!

A Little Note on the Weather…
The ducks obviously need a river to race, however, our Great British weather can be unpre-duck-table so should there be too much water (flooding) or too little water don’t worry - we’ll simply ruffle a few plans and move the event to the next Bank Holiday: 25 May 2026.

Every single penny raised goes to Boomerang’s Pet Foodbank (Reg. Charity No. 1200695) - helping us ensure that no pet goes without a meal.
