Chrysalis

Blending humor, heartbreak, and highlighting the human condition, this contemporary two-act drama is set inside Bright Valley Recovery and Retreat Center during its final days before shutdown.

As patients and staff cling to routine before being reassigned, a new arrival — known only as Bill — becomes a source of curiosity, tension, and moral uncertainty for Troy, a counselor in recovery.

Tragedy strikes the unit, the fragile bonds of community are tested and Bill's past is finally revealed.

Chrysalis examines addiction, survivor’s guilt, institutional failure, and the uneasy hope of leaving the chrysalis and becoming someone new.

All audiences are welcome.

Written and directed by playwright Charles Grayson, who brought us The Villager Photo and more.

Showtimes are Fri 3/13 and Sat 3/14 at 7:30 pm and Sun 3/15 at 3pm. Approx run time 1 1/2 hours.
