Bring the kiddos and the family. We are always in need of Ice, Solo Cups, and BEER!!!
This is a BYOB event. Please bring your adult beverages. If you do not drink beer bring what you will drink and make sure you are ready to chug it!
Standard baseball/softball rules apply with a few key changes as noted below:
1. You are not playing baseball. You are not playing softball. You are playing SLOSHBALL. Beer drinking is as much as part of the game as making outs and scoring runs. If you try to avoid drinking beer to enhance your play in the field, you suck.
And will be called out.
2. Speaking of beer you MUST have a beer in your hand at ALL times if you do not have a beer in your hand, you are out!!! If you do not have a beer in your hand and catch the ball on defense the runner is safe and allowed to go directly to second base or score if they are on 3rd. Throwing or dropping your beer on purpose will disqualify you from the play.
3. There are no walks.
4. Strikeouts occur when a player does not hit a ball in fair play by the 4th foul.
5. NO BUNTING (Bunting is an Automatic Out!!!)
6. 2nd Base All of the beer is located on 2nd base.
- When a player reaches 2nd base, that player must stop at second and chug a beer (size of beers determined by the commissioner and each team must be treated equally) and get a new beer before moving on to 3rd base.
- That player can leave 2nd base any time after the beer has been finished whether it is on the same play or a future play.
- Multiple players can accumulate at 2nd base and 2nd base only. There is never a force out at third so a player is never forced to leave 2nd base.
- Players must advance from 2nd base in the order they arrived, no passing. Although multiple players can run at the same time and score together.
7. Scoring runs - There will be a slip and slide from 3rd base to home plate. You must slide to score. (Remember to hold on to your beer) If you choose not to slide you must down your entire beer after crossing home to score.
8. NEW HOME RUN RULE - Last year we had an unknown individual lay down in left field and start sunbathing in a speedo with his legs wide open. If this happens again if you can hit the person with the ball, it’s an automatic homerun. (You must still chug a beer for passing second base)
9. Disputes - Disputes occur more frequently as the game goes on and the people drink more beer (go figure). Settle all REASONABLE disputes like gentlemen, through boat races.
A dispute over a play between two players, such as being thrown out at first, or tagged out at home can be settled in a 1-on-1 boat race to save time. (Boat race = who ever finishes their beer first so chug, chug, chug)
Larger disputes such as disputes over the rules that cannot be settled by the Commissioner, should be settled in a team vs. team boat race.
