Der Open Call von Oberwelt zur Beteiligung an einer thematischen Gruppenausstellung ruft dazu auf, sich künstlerisch auf spannende Weise mit der provozierenden Macht der Ohnmacht auseinanderzusetzen oder sie zu hinterfragen. At the same time, it crops up as a medium of resistance against political violence, taking on a subversive connotation as in the ‘pussyhats’ with cat ears on the women’s marches protesting Trump’s brutal contempt. Oberwelt’s open call for submissions to a thematic group exhibition invites participants to engage artistically in an exciting way with the provocative power of powerlessness, or call it into question.
