"Gimme, Gimme the Shakes!" – so brüllt es der Frontmann dieser Schweizer Garage-Rock-Institution in sein Mikro, und der gebürtige US-Amerikaner weiß genau, wovon er singt: Bereits 1989 hat er sich mit dem in seiner Schweizer Wahlheimat gegründeten Trio auf den Weg gemacht, um den Underground mit einer Mischung aus Proto-Punk, Rock'n'Roll und zwei Schuss manischem Surf-Sound zu retten. "Keep it real and stripped down to the Bones" lautet seitdem die Devise der drei Recken aus Boston und Basel, die es gerne krachen lassen bis der Putz von der Decke bröckelt.

Hier sind keine braungebrannten Surfer-Dudes aus California am Werk, sondern "hardest working Voodoo Rock Punkers", die die coolsten Gitarrenriffs seit THE STOOGES auffahren. Sie lieben das Rohe aus den Pioniertagen der verschiedenen Genres, verehren die RAMONES und SONNY VINCENT ebenso wie die MC5 und den Fuzz-Gitarren-Twang von LINK WRAY. Mehr als einmal wurde die Band als "europäisches Pendant zu DEAD MOON" bezeichnet... und das wahrlich nicht unverdient.

Die 1987 gegründete Band aus der Region ist – nach Jahrzehnten als Quartett mit Sängerin – wieder zur ursprünglichen Drei-Mann-Besetzung zurückgekehrt und hat ihr zehntes Album veröffentlicht. Auch als Trio kreuzen sie weiterhin melodischen Pop-Punk mit Punk Rock alter Schule.
