The Shamanic Journey ~ The Gateway to Non-Ordinary Reality Journeying is a method for developing a personal connection to the Divine and a direct communication from the Divine to you! Shamanic journeying is the art of using rhythm and intention to enter an altered state of consciousness in order to connect with the spiritual dimension of reality. Journeying is similar to meditation. In many ways shamanic journeying is a type of meditation, but there are pieces to the process that differentiate it from meditation. The Journey Process 1. We begin by preparing ourselves and the space for the journey experience. -smudging to clear our energy and space -opening sacred space -setting intention for the journey ahead 2. We move through a relaxation activity to move into a quieter mind. This allows participants to alter their state of mind and to begin the active journey into the spiritual/non-ordinary realms. 3. Then we journey to the beat of the drum; the heartbeat of Mother Earth. 4. When the journey is complete there is time to write down what was experienced. 5. Opportunity to share in the group what was experienced in the journey is offered This group is a monthly, ongoing gathering. All that is shared in the circle is considered sacred and confidential.
