On the eve of National Gopher Tortoise Day, we will embark on a scenic nature walk to learn about the mysterious and interesting lives of these iconic animals, as well as conservation and management efforts aimed to sustain them. For this walk we will be joined by a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission tortoise specialist! Don't miss out!DETAILSFREE program, but reservations are requiredThis program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately 11:00amThe walk will be 2 miles across various natural surfaces, including sandPlease wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwearBring water, sunscreen, and bug sprayMinors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adultAll participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the programVISITOR INFORMATIONIf you are a visitor planning a trip to Martin County and would like to preregister for the event, please email ecotourism@martin.fl.usLooking for an eco-friendly place to stay while visiting Martin County?
