CY TANGO PASSION in cooperation with P.AC. Projects in Action organizes, for a second time, at the MALL OF CYPRUS, an afternoon MILONGA to celebrate INTERNATIONAL TANGO DAY.
Before the Milonga there will be a Flash Mob ;-).
Dance lovers will be interested to know that on December 11, is an internationally recognized day of tango. On this day in 1887 (or, according to other sources, 1890) was born Carlos Gardel, singer, actor and composer, known as “the tango king”.
PROGRAMME:
(1) 6:00' - 6:30' p.m. Flash Mob -
Instructions:
WE ALL MEET at 5:50' p.m. in front of ZARA HOME Shop
(check the photo at the "Discussion" field).
Try to find in advance and come with a partner.
If you don't have a partner don't worry, we will pair people up.
Around 6 p.m. we start walking towards Entrance 1 - Milonga Venue - which is on a straight line and only 3-4 minutes walking distance.
As soon as you are able to hear the tango music clearly, you may dance, but please avoid blocking any shop entrance or / and be careful not to hit someone accidentally.
If many couples are participating to the Flash Mob, we may suggest which couples will start dancing first and which couples, gradually, later, to create a unique ambiance with many couples dancing Tango closer to 6:30' p.m.
Have in mind that there are no Tandas, so you may stop at any time, continue walking and even change partner if you want.
It's preferable to keep some distance from other dancing couples.
In case a couple is late, go directly towards Entrance 1 and dance where you will find free space.
At 6:30' we ALL gather in front of the big Christmas Tree - Entrance 1 - for our Milonga.
We are in the process of creating a list of known Tango pieces, which you will hear during Flash Mob.
