About the Comedians
George Westerholm
George is a Gemini, Canadian Screen Award, and Canadian Comedy Award-winning writer, producer, director, musician, and comedian. His credits span some of Canada’s most iconic television shows, including The Rick Mercer Report and This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Beyond political satire, he has written for award shows, documentaries, the Pan Am Games, and acclaimed animated series like 6teen.
He has crafted material for an impressive list of performers such as Howie Mandel, Andrea Martin, Jason Priestley, Weird Al Yankovic, Jane Krakowski, Tom Green, and Gordon Pinsent. George has toured throughout Canada, the U.S., and Britain, with his theatre show Unscheduled Stopover earning a nomination for “Pick of the Fringe” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His work is also featured in the book I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America’s Top Comics.
Chuck Byrn
Since 1994, Chuck Byrn has built a career as one of Canada’s most reliable and versatile comedians. A national touring headliner since 1996, Chuck adapts his performance seamlessly to any setting, whether it’s a corporate event, a festival, or a packed theatre. His dedication earned him a Best Male Stand-Up nomination at the 2010 Canadian Comedy Awards.
His credits include the Just For Laughs Festival, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, ABC’s Monk, Halifax Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Comedy Now!, and Open Mike with Mike Bullard.
