Come and sing together again!
This year's only Choir in a Day with me but a special one!
The Stratford Artshouse is relaunching under new management and as part of the soft launch, I've been invited to host one of my Choir in a Day events there by the lovely new team.
For those new to the idea - you do NOT need any experience of singing in any context to enrol. On past choir days we have had women who firmly believe they can't sing. They have been told at some point that they can't and just haven't - sometimes for years.
It's a VERY relaxed day (but we do get a lot of singing done too!) and everyone has enjoyed themselves - and discovered their voices.
You may have been to my Choir in an Hour at the New Forest Folk Festival - expect more of the same, but a whole day - plus CAKE!!
The event is open only to women this time so it is a place to share experiences as well as singing - sometimes this day is quite cathartic for people and I want them to feel comfortable and supported while they explore their music making.
It is all improvised so tailored to everybody's level, confidence and ability. But we will be using folk/contemporary classics etc as a basis.
Four part harmonies on 6 or seven songs by the end of the day ladies! I'll work you hard - but nicely!!
In memory of Karen and Susan - stalwarts of these days who found their voices, cried and laughed with us and shared their stories with grace and love.

£35 for the day

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are provided (but feel free to bring cake etc to share!)
