This week we will be visiting the Lockside Steak House to enjoy a delicious lunch together. 
Matt, the owner of this venue, has been all over social media recently due to his dedication to little Amelia and her amazing Birthday card appeal. 
Matt is a tattooed, tough looking , Hells Angel and has openly spoken about his own mental health struggles online and how the frienship he formed with  one special little girl helped him to turn things around . 
This is quite admirable and our Mind It group want to go and show him some support. 
If a big burly biker can admit to the world on social media that he too struggled with his mental health .....it helps to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health. 
Hats off to him ! 
When you struggle with poor mental health it can be isolating amd creates significant barriers to trying new things and visiting new places on your own. 
This often leads to a cycle of withdrawal and missed opportunities. 
This is where Mind It group steps in. 
We engage in all sorts of small, managable , outings and experiences as a group....which helps to take the pressure off and decreases anxiety levels. Finding venues who genuinely 'get it' is an added bonus.
