The TARC Winter Classic is coming up on December 6th! In preparation, the Northeast Trail Crew will be hosting 2 course preview runs.
The race follows the white blazes of the Skyline Trail in the Middlesex Fells Reservation, it's 8ish miles, 900ish ft of elevation gain. We'll go clockwise on the 9th and counterclockwise on the 23rd.
Walton will be leading at a Business Casual sort of pace-- last year that was about 11:30 min/mile moving pace, but with regroups it was more like 12ish min/mile elapsed pace. With this particular route, the group usually ends up naturally splitting into a few sub groups. Morning of we'll check to see if there are any decidedly Party Pace folks (looking to move with more pauses to regroup, chiller pace, probably 14ish min/mile) and we can pre-split into 2 groups if there's enough folks interested!
When:
- Sunday, November 9 at 10:00 am (clockwise)
- Sunday, November 23 at 10:00 am (counterclockwise)
Where:
- Bear Hill Parking Lot (just off of Fallon Rd in Stoneham)
- This lot gets busy on weekends, so carpooling / bikes encouraged.
Who:
You! Anyone down for a good time! Folks running the race, not running the race, NTC affiliated, TARC affiliated, not affiliated with any group, all are welcome!
