At the end, we'll recap all the bird species we've observed. Melanie will help participants learn how to identify birds by sight and sound. The full program lasts approximately 2 hours.All levels of birders are welcome. Binoculars and comfortable footwear are recommended.Where to meet: Find Melanie at the Nature Center (3787 Klondike Rd.)What to bring: Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle. If you have your own set of binoculars, please bring them. We will have limited supply to borrow.Restrooms: Public restrooms are available in the parking lot.Recommended ages: This program content is designed for adults and older teens, but all ages are welcome.Dogs: This program is NOT appropriate for dogs, so please leave your pup at home.Weather contingency: This program will be held rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs (RPCA).Walking distance: No more than 2 milesExposure: This walk will be under shaded tree canopy as well as in full sun.Trail surface & accessibility: This program will travel on paved pathways as well as soft trails and through the forest.
