The Larry Griffith Band: Live @ "Tunes By the Tracks" SMV

The soulful sounds of blues, rock, and soul will fill Stone Mountain Village as The Larry Griffith Band joins us on tap for Tunes by the Tracks on Friday, September 26, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Larry’s powerful storytelling and high-energy performance will stir the soul and keep your feet moving. Raised in Cincinnati in a house alive with blues, gospel, soul, and jazz, Griffith began writing songs at just nine years old. By his teens, he was already a session drummer at Federal Records, working alongside industry greats.

After moving to Atlanta in the 1990s, Griffith became a fixture of the city’s thriving blues scene. A life-changing dream in Clarksdale, Mississippi inspired him to take up the guitar, leading him to forge a signature style that blends blues, soul, rock, and country with heartfelt storytelling.

Catch the Larry Griffith Band Friday, Sept. 26, from 7–9 PM in the heart of Stone Mountain Village – 2nd St & East Mountain – thanks to the awesome crew at Outrun Brewing. They’re opening their space, their staff, and their hearts to keep the Tunes By the Tracks heart fires burning.

Bringing music to the heart of the Village - this fall, the Tunes fire will be burning bright set purposefully “tap side” rather than “track side”. Following last week’s 6th Annual Atlanta Women in Blues, sponsored by the Atlanta Blues Society, you already know the vibe: friends, neighbors, musicians, and community coming together for an unforgettable evening. Real music, real people - right off Main Street.

The event goes on rain or shine (lightning or unsafe weather excluded) with music on tap from 7:00–9:00 PM. Bring your camp chair, your dancing shoes (if you’re so inclined), and - most of all - your heart for Village joy and camaraderie.

Outrun Brewing and our Village restaurants will be in full swing - and a few of our local shops throwing in with late hours too. With a beverage in hand and food options from Village favorites - or from Outrun’s featured food truck - it all adds up to a perfect evening.

Pro tip: Arrive early and linger late - stick around for the afterglow. SMV After Dark has a vibe all its own. This Friday might be just the spark you need to find your groove and join the rhythm of the night - Village style.
