Pilgrim Souvenirs, Devotional and other Objects of Faith recovered from the River Wear in Durham.

An illustrated talk by Gary Bankhead to mark the launch of his latest book on the same topic.
This presentation will focus on the pilgrim souvenirs, devotional and other objects of faith, which form part of the massive assemblage of medieval to modern small finds recovered from the bed of the River Wear in Durham City as part of the internationally famous ‘Dive into Durham Project’.

Its expected that Gary will have a limited number of copies of his new book available to buy after the talk.
