Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.Route descriptionThe Middlewood Way follows the line of the former Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway through picturesque Cheshire countryside andbetween historic mill towns.Our route begins at Nelson’s Pit Visitor Centre car park and heads north along the Middlewood Way passing the train station less than 1km in. We head underneath the A6 looping back on ourselves at High Lane to follow the Macclesfield Canal back to our starting point.
