Our popular pottery evening class is back again - in the comfort of your own home!
Following our sell-out Autumn programme, our remote pottery evening class is back for the New Year.
We know lots of people are missing doing pottery in the studio, so due to current restrictions we're offering a mainly virtual evening class with an intro session delivered in a small group at Arc Centre at Hat Works. During the course you’ll learn or improve various hand-building techniques and practice them in your own home!
Sharon will deliver 3 making sessions via Zoom and you’ll also have help sheets to aid you. The Zoom link will be emailed to you before the first session.
We will provide the clay, a choice of glazes and 2 firings. And you can borrow a set of tools, so there’s no need to buy anything.
Thu Jan 21st 19:00-19:45 - Intro Session. Come to Arc to collect your clay & tools, meet Sharon and watch her demonstrate some basics.
Thu Jan 28th, Feb 4th & 11th 18:30-20:00 - Join Sharon live on Zoom to learn hand-building techniques including pinch pots, coil and slab-building, then continue to practice in your own time.
Once your work is fully dry you can bring it to Arc where it will be fired and glazed - you will have a choice of 2 glazes for your pots.
Your pieces will be ready to collect 2-3 weeks later.
"Friendly, well explained sessions", "Excellent tutor!" - Feedback from previous pottery classes facilitated by Sharon.
