- **Event Description**: 6 weeks of handbuilding pottery with our resident artist and ceramicist Sharon Giles.About this EventOur experienced tutor Sharon Giles will teach basic handbuilding skills and more advanced techniques to create your own bespoke ceramics over 6 weekly sessions in a welcoming atmosphere in our dedicated Pottery Studio at Hat Works. You’ll have the opportunity to create several pieces, guided with inspiration from Sharon or exploring your own projects. The class itself and the pottery created also make a thoughtful, unique gift! Several attendees have brought along friends or partners or given as a gift in a card, available in our shop. All skill levels welcome.''Great tutor! Lovely group of people. Small group. Really relaxed approach that encouraged us to experiment with the clay.''What You Need to KnowWhite earthenware clay, equipment and glazes are all included. Additional clay, glazes and firings will be available to purchase.Pieces will be fired by our dedicated team and ready to collect in 2-3 weeks. We'll email you when they're ready to collect.You will be enrolled onto the whole course, so please ensure that you’re able to attend all sessions before purchasing as alternative dates can't be offered.Course dates are:Thursday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th January, 5th and 12th February 18:30-20:30Experience a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in our spacious cafe and studios at Stockport Hat Works.
