Join Yoga Aura with Kate, experienced Senior Yoga Teacher for an online Mindful Yin Yoga on a Tuesday evening 19:30-20:45 in the comfort of your own home.
Yin Yoga is a wonderful mindful practice but also excellent for working on flexibility in the joints, connective tissues and fascia, so its great for all sports people as well as yoga students who are tight and stiff on hamstrings, hips, spine, shoulders, ankles,as well as those student who are looking to develop their mindfulness, meditation and deeper connection of self and with your on energy/Chi/Prana.
Holding postures for 3-5 mins increases our flexibility at the same time yin is a deep releasing practice using breath and intention as the focus to let go of tension that we store physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically.
The perfect nourishing yoga practice and to feel refreshed and to let go of any tension and is lovely to practice in the comfort of your home.
Put on you PJ's light a few candles, gather some cushions, blankets some books to use if you haven't got yoga equipment we can find items in your howe that we can use instead.

Mindful Yin Yoga also offers a meditative approach to yoga and is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures held for longer periods of time - in order to improve flexibility by releasing the connective tissues of the body including the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, even joints of the bones generally in the hips, pelvis and lower spine. At the same time there is an emphasis on relaxing the muscular tissue.
• Yin can be challenging owing to holding the postures for long periods. The perfect complement to dynamic (Yang) forms of yoga.
• Yin aims to unblock energy channels known as the meridians and offers a deep release and sense of letting go.
• Yin is quite and simple yoga practice but that does not mean that it is easy. We use props like blocks bolsters blankets and cushions help us to remain at our appropriate edge and support us in the pose.
• Yin not only works on the connective tissues it also works to activate and stimulate the meridians in the body. The energy channels of which there are 21, 6 start from the feet. So in all the yin poses we are working on at least one if not all of the meridians.
