- **Event Description**: We are pleased to announce that this year’s Stockport Tri Club John Sanders Memorial Triathlon will be taking place at Poynton Leisure Centre on Sunday 27th September 2026

Suitable for all comers from beginners to seasoned triathletes, STC’s John Sanders Memorial Triathlon will consist of a 400m pool swim, with controlled lanes and seeded starts, followed by a 20km (approx) undulating bike ride around the lanes of Higher Poynton and a 5km (approx) run taking in the Middlewood Way. 
There will also be a duathlon (5k run, 20k bike, 5k run). 

We love hosting events and want as many of you to join us as possible, so we're setting our entry fees super low: just £25 if you enter before the end of June, and £30 after. You'll experience the same great stuff as previous years - same venue, same excellent organisation, chip timing, a finishers medal**. And a brilliant, supportive atmosphere as triathletes from across the region come together to do what we love most on the day.
