Gottberg började egentligen som cellist innan hon bytte till kontrabas i tjugoårsåldern – ett beslut som tog henne vidare till Conservatorium van Amsterdam och senare Manhattan School of Music i New York, där hon studerade för Buster Williams. Sedan dess har hon etablerat sig på den holländska jazzscenen och belönats med förstapriser vid både Getxo Jazz Competition och Conad Jazz Competition.

I hennes musik möts folkliga melodier, improvisatorisk frihet och ett samtida kvartettsound där kompositionerna hela tiden driver musiken framåt. Med sig till Fasching har hon pianisten Rasmus Sørensen, saxofonisten Coleman Rose och trummisen Eliza Salem.
