TICKETS Tickets are $45.00pp (discounted for gold, silver and bronze members). To see our membership packages head to our Wise Women Walking membership page - https://www.wisewomenwalking.org.au/index.cfm?module=MEMBERSHIP_V2 WALK DETAILS This walk is approximately 10km (allow up to 3 hours depending on group pace). We will walk from Crafers to Mt Lofty (possibly including the Summit), then return to our cars in Crafers. This is a moderate walk along a mix of wide and single trails with some gradual climbs and descents. MEET TIME/LOCATION Please arrive at 8.15am for an 8.30am start. Your leader will meet you near the end of Epiphany Place in Crafers. There is parking along the side of Epiphany Place or you can find street parking on Shurdington Road or Mount Street. You could try the Crafers Park n Ride North. There are toilets located nearby at the BP petrol station opposite Crafers Hotel. MEDICAL DETAILS FORM Don’t forget to bring along your I.C.E. Medical Details Form which can be downloaded from our website. If you are unable to print from home, your leader will have some spare forms with them which you can complete on the morning of the walk. WEATHER AND GEAR You can check the forecast for the walk location here - http://www.bom.gov.au/places/sa/crafers/forecast/detailed/ If the weather forecast is for extreme weather or a fire ban is issued for the Adelaide Hills, this walk will be cancelled the day before and fully refunded. We will only cancel last minute (by text message and email) if there is a severe weather warning/thunderstorm warning or weather events that are likely to impact on the safety of our leaders and walkers. Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be needed: - a daypack/backpack to carry your gear - 2 litres of water - sun protection (hat, sunnies, suncream) - wet weather gear (check the forecast and plan accordingly!) - blister kit/personal medication - snacks/fruit to have along the way - boots/comfortable walking shoes with good grip - layerable clothing for before/during/after the walk (eg. jumper/jacket) - walking poles (optional) Please ensure you have the minimum gear required as no refunds are possible after booking. If you arrive under prepared our leaders have the right to ask you not to walk with us for safety reasons. Note: All our leaders carry group first aid kits, emergency communication devices and are qualified bushwalking leaders. OTHER INFORMATION Our walks are all about fun, fitness and friendship - not a personal training session. If we cannot walk and talk at the same time we are walking too fast! And we never leave anyone behind. Minimum age requirement for our walks is 18 years. For the walk to go ahead, we need a minimum of 5 walkers registered by the registration closing time (5pm the day before the walk). If a walk is cancelled due to the minimum number not being met, participants who have registered will be notified by text the evening before the walk and a refund will be given. During our walks, photos may be taken for use publicly on our website, social media channels and e-newsletter.
