Grief can be so deep that it feels like it has taken over your entire body. Heavy. Crushing. Hollow. Restless. Numb. It can settle into your chest, your throat, your belly, your muscles, your bones — moving into every crevice until it feels like it might drag you down with it. 

Sometimes you feel everything. Sometimes you feel nothing. 

Sometimes, you begin to come back to life. You laugh. You feel joy. You want to create again. You notice beauty. And somehow, even that can feel strange. How do you re-enter a life that looks the same on the outside when everything inside you has changed? 

We're not here to fix, rush, or force your grief to move, but to listen to what your body is asking for: 

🖤  explore the physical experience of grief through somatic awareness, gentle movement, breath, and stillness

🖤  make space for the heaviness, ache, numbness

🖤  make space for moments of aliveness that can exist alongside grief

🖤  leave with simple somatic practices to return to when grief washes over you or catches you by surprise

You don't have to be over it. You don't have to be okay. You simply get to be with what is here, one breath, one moment at a time. You don't have to leave your grief behind to come home to your body.

If you're carrying grief that feels overwhelming, physically exhausting, or impossible to put into words and are feeling heavy, hollow, tense, restless, disconnected, or completely numb this workshop is for you. 

The world keeps moving while your own world has stopped. You wonder if you'll ever reconnect to the parts of yourself that brought joy, creativity, and aliveness...

Notice and honor grief without needing to fix, release, or move through it on a timeline. 

Build the capacity to stay connected to your body while making space for both the pain of loss and the gradual return of aliveness. 

Learn simple somatic practices you can use at home when grief arises. 

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sit and move gently. Participants will remain seated or lying down (your preference) for most of the class. No prior experience with somatic practices is required. You are encouraged to bring water and anything that helps you feel physically comfortable (e.g., a small blanket or journal). Engage as much as feels safe
