DAVE BAUMGARTEN MEMORIAL TRACTOR DRIVE

It’s tractor drive season again, time to get the tractors out and give them a wash job and go for a spin with a good group of friends. Last year I had the same drive for my birthday and anyone that knows me knows out of the tractors I have only one means a bunch to me and it’s the only one I want to drive. Every time I get on it to use it or even just move it out of the way I think of grandpa Dave and him leaving that tractor to me means so much to me and he was so close to everyone in the community that I decided instead of having a birthday drive for me I would make it a memorable drive in memory of my grandpa. It is a long ways but everyone that went last year said it wasn’t bad at all. Brew bank in stewardson to mvp happy holler. It took us two hours to get there and a little longer to get back just because we stopped in Sigel at the kazbar. I tried to run about 15-18mph to keep a decent breeze on everyone in the wagon because it was pretty hot out but we had a really good time there ended up being a band over there, a poker run and a Jeep run. Met many new people and when we got back to the brew bank there was a band there also. I will leave my house July 19th at 1015am to head to the brew bank, we will leave at 11 on our adventure. My wagon will most likely be full of people but I really hope some more people decide to go and bring tractors and other wagons. I was pretty let down last year when my tractor and wagon and one other tractor were the only ones that showed up. Hopefully I can get a decent turnout with this and make it a yearly event. If this year is a good turn out next year I would be interested in making shirts with the BUMMY IH logo I came up with as well for people that go. Hope to see you there I will have a jump box, air compressor, and chains and straps if needed.
