"The Animal Keepers" with Donn Behnke

The Portage County Public Library will host a talk with local coach and author Donn Behnke about his book and the 1985 Stevens Point Area High School cross-country team at 6:30pm on Monday, November 17 at the PCPL Stevens Point Branch, 1001 Main St.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the SPASH's magical cross country season, Behnke will join us to share from his book, “The Animal Keepers.” The book details how the team’s season took an unexpected turn when they were joined by first-year runner Scott “The Animal” Longley, an unlikely hero who helped fuel the team’s unforgettable quest for a state title.
