Art journaling is a fun, easy way to be creative, explore ideas, and relax. There’s no right or wrong, just a chance to play with color, shapes, and words in whatever way feels good to you.
It helps you get comfortable making art by giving you space to experiment and express yourself without pressure. As you fill your pages, you may discover new ideas for drawings, paintings, or other projects. It can even act like a creative sketchbook where anything goes. The simple act of doodling, painting, or collaging can also calm your mind and provide a welcome break from daily stress.
When done in a group, art journaling becomes even more inspiring. Everyone works at their own pace, shares materials, and supports each other. You might chat, try out new techniques, or simply enjoy the energy of being around others who are creating. It’s a fun, friendly way to connect while making space for art.
This group meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 1–3 PM at the Riverfront Arts Center. It’s free, open to all, and no experience is needed.
The Riverfront Arts Center is free and open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM, and weekends, 11 AM to 3 PM (closed holidays and between exhibitions). We’re located at 1200 Crosby Ave., downtown Stevens Point.
