- **Event Name**: Walk on the Wild Side
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 18 Oct, 2026 at 11:30 am (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: Walk on the Wildside – Sunday, October 18, 2026
At Sholan Farms, Leominster

What is it? Walk on the Wild Side is our annual fundraiser for First Church, and its ministries. You have the choice of walking to collect pledges for our La Romana volunteers or the First Church general fund.

When and where? The event will take place on Sunday, October 18 starting at 11:30am. We will gather at the gazebo at Sholan Farm and do a guided walk through the fields and woods followed by fresh cider and cider donuts from the farm. There will be some surprises in the woods.

How does it work? Participants sign up for the walk, and then solicit sponsors to pledge on their behalf.

What if October 18 doesn’t work for me or I don’t want to do the guided walk? No problem. Pick any date between October 18 and November 1 to explore a path or trail near or far from your home. This will count as having completed the walk.

Do I have to wear a costume? No, but if you want to that would be great.

How do I sign up? There is a sign-up sheet in Friday’s “First Church News “and on Facebook or you can sign up at a coffee hour after church. The completed sign-up sheets can be returned through the collection plate, during coffee hour, or dropped off at the church office. We will then set up a donor’s page for you, and you can begin soliciting sponsors.

Hope you can make it!
