No one really thought this would last. Not the neighbors. Not the people who told us to shut it down. Not even us, if we’re being honest. And yet here we are. Fully grown and arguably responsible.

We raise a cup (whatever’s in it) to 21 years of showing up for each other, a weekend that somehow stayed important no matter how much life changed around it.

Put the windows down and let the air change. That first breath that smells like trees, dust, sunscreen, and freedom. Then it hits. Smoke curling up from the fire, mixing with something sizzling on the grill that’s about to be legendary..that is if Beau doesn’t get to it first. 

You hear it before you see anyone. Someone yelling across camp like no time has passed, a cooler slamming shut, a chair giving up on life mid sit. The background soundtrack of laughter and cracking logs.

Then you step in..And it’s like nothing ever left. Same people, same energy.

You taste it too. That first drink that hits a little harder after a long drive, a perfectly toasted marshmallow immediately followed by one that catches fire like it’s got something to prove, and late night food that has no business tasting that good.

Because this place? It’s still home.

The place where time slows down. Where life gets simple again, and somehow that’s when it means the most. We’ve weathered storms, literal and otherwise. We’ve danced in the dirt, burned things we definitely meant to cook, and built something that outlasted every excuse not to.

And in true “finally legal” fashion.. expect things to get a little.. celebratory.
-Restraint isn’t our strong suit.
-Surprises that needed to be approved? Whoops.
-A dash of unpredictability to keep the legend alive. 

Bring your stories, your appetite, and your willingness to wake up smelling like smoke and poor judgment. Whether you’ve been here since day one or got pulled in somewhere along the way, you’re in this now. Through noise complaints, bad ideas, worse ideas, growing up (from who’s perspective?), and entire life chapters in between we kept coming back. 

So don’t overthink it this year. 

Show up.

Because one day this will all be stories. This is one of the few chances we get to keep adding to them. Together, in the same place, at the same time.

The fire will be ready and the woods waiting for a new chapter!
