Get ready for a fun-filled day of creativity, speed, and winter excitement at the Cardboard Classic! Participants must be 6 years or older, with no more than two racers per sled, and all racers are required to wear a helmet.

Competitions include Most Creative Sled, with judging taking place at 1:00 PM, followed immediately by the Fastest Sled races. All sleds entered in the creative contest must be pre-registered, and trophies will be awarded to the most creative sled in each division. Racing will follow a double-elimination bracket, with prizes awarded to the top three sleds in each division. Divisions include ages 6–12, 13–17, and 18 and over.

Sleds must be built using standard brown cardboard (no waxed cardboard), duct tape, and glue only. Sleds may be painted and decorated, but the base must remain brown cardboard. Any sled containing wood, metal, nails, sharp, or pointy objects will be disqualified. All sleds will be inspected at registration, and participants will have the opportunity to fix any violations at that time. Racers are responsible for transporting their sleds up the hill, and no pushing or jumping is allowed at the start line. Racers must be seated in their sled and use their hands to get going. Participants are also responsible for disposing of their sleds after the event.

Registration will take place from 12:00–12:30 PM on February 28. The cost is $20 per sled, and the completed sled along with all participants must be present to register. Each sled must pass inspection, and an indemnity form must be signed by all participants or by a parent or guardian for those under 18.
