- **Event Description**: Because of all the interest in this novel, community member and trained reader leader Tine Andersen will be hosting a shared reading of the first chapter of “Intermezzo” next Wednesday at 18:00. We will be meeting on the second floor. If you haven’t started the novel, then this is a great way to get interested and inspired. If you have, then this is an opportunity for a more in depth discussion of the work than we usually do at the club.

Shared reading is an activity where a trained reader leader reads a piece aloud in a group, while taking breaks to talk and reflect about the text as it is read. Participants are encouraged but not required to share their perspectives and feelings about the piece in the group. While our regular book club meeting also opens the floor to reflection and discussion, this shared reading meeting will cover a specific portion of the novel and is focused on providing a safe space for personal and specific reflections and interpretation.
