CONTEMPORARY MUSIC IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP

Join this free music improvisation workshop and learn about freedom of interpretation, improvisation techniques, listening, different types of notations, and sounds, including electronic music, objects and contemporary techniques.
We will also talk about our personal relation to improvisation, our backgrounds in classical music and composition, and we will show examples from both our own musical compositions and other composers and improvisers.
Throughout the workshop there will be different types of improvisations where we will invite you to play with us.
Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels safe to try new instruments and improvise together, no matter your musical background or level.
Make sure to bring your instrument if you have one, you can also borrow one of the instruments we'll have available during the workshop. If you would like to play piano or drums during the improvisations let us know in advance and we will provide them for you.
