I am writing to urgently draw your attention to the grave situation currently facing the people of Iran.
For decades, Iranians have lived under the rule of the Islamic Republic, an authoritarian system widely condemned for systematic human rights violations, suppression of fundamental freedoms, and violence against its own citizens. Despite years of international condemnations and sanctions, the regime’s behaviour has not changed. Repression continues, civil freedom remains severely restricted and violence against protestors and ordinary civilians persists. Meanwhile, millions of Iranians inside the country and across the global diaspora continue to demand freedom, democracy, and a government that genuinely reflects the will of the people.
In the context of escalating regional tensions and the military actions involving Israel and the United States, it is essential to make a clear distinction that the opposition to the Islamic Republic is not opposition to the Iranian people. The Iranian nation is not its ruling regime. On the contrary, for many Iranians this moment represents a long-awaited chance to finally achieve liberation and fundamental changes. 
At this critical time, we respectfully urge members of Parliament to stand with the people of Iran by clearly distinguishing between Islamic Republic and people of Iran. Your voice can help ensure that international dialogue recognizes the Iranian people’s legitimate aspirations for democratic change, human rights, and national sovereignty.
People of Iran look forward to a future transitional period to move from the current suppressive system to a democratic order. A large majority of Iranians, both inside the country and throughout the diaspora, support the leadership of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as a unifying national figure who can help guide a peaceful transition toward democracy, stability, and secular governance.
We respectfully ask you to stand with the Iranian people, amplify their voices, and advocate internationally for policies that support their rights, freedoms, and democratic future of Iran
